The Fram Museum

Fram Museum describes the story of Norwegian polar exploration and its significant participation in heroic age . The museum is located on the peninsula of Oslo, Norway. It was inaugurated on 20 May 1936. The centerpiece of Museum shows three great Norwegian polar explorers in particular—Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup and Roald Amundsen and its main exhibition has explanatory text in ten languages .

The museum has preserved images of the fauna of the Polar Regions, such as polar bears and penguins. The symbol of the museum is the world´s strongest wooden ship, the polar ship Fram. Tourists go on board, click pictures and take a look around in her cabins, lounges, cargo hold and engine room.
