crystal-gallery-udaipur.jpg

Crystal Gallery Udaipur

The world-famous crystal gallery located in Fateh Prakash Palace. This magnificent hall is spread in the upper gallery of the Durbar Hall Sabhagaar. The Durbar Hall Sabhagaar that adorns the Fateh Prakash Palace has historical significance. Maharaja Sajjan Singh  ordered rare crystals from F&C Osler & Co in England at 1 Houses CO. Maharana died even before it arrived, and all the items were forgotten and packed in the box for 110 years. The Mewar collection itself, derived from a royal household, is a revival of an old dinner service that follows the classical pearl form - rich designs in the shape of a flower and leaves, indented rims, numerous lace-carvings and subtle, intricate details. Building the Flora Danica service was a huge task. It became the life work of one of the most talented artists of the late 18th century, and one of the largest porcelain painters, Johann Christoph Bayer. The gallery has extravagant, extraordinary collections and outstanding crystal items ranging from dining tables, tables, sofa sets, washing bowls, goblets, trays, decanters to perfume bottles, candle stands, crockery and even beds. The main attraction of the gallery is a jewel-studded carpet, which symbolizes the peerless class. The entrance fee also includes admission to the grand durbar hall. Tickets are available at the entrance of the City Palace Gate or the Crystal Gallery. Photography is prohibited.Note: The Given Cost is Estimated. You will need to pay the exact cost directly at the counter.
