Amer, originally, was the capital of the state before Jaipur. It is an old fort, built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh and was completed by Sawai Jai Singh in the 18th Century. This fort is also very popularly known as the Amer Palace. The Amer Fort was built in red sandstone and marble and the Maotha Lake adds a certain charm to the entire Fort. Amer Fort is known for its artistic style elements. With its large ramparts and series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks Maota Lake, which is the main source of water for the Amer Palace. Mughal architecture greatly influenced the architectural style of several buildings of the fort.Jaipur faces extreme summers and winters. It is advisable to visit the Amer Fort from September to March. The weather remains pleasant and cool in these months. The best hours to visit the fort is during the night from 7 pm to 9 pm as you can enjoy the sound and light show along with a fancy dinner at the restaurant.

It includes the Diwan-e-Am (Hall for the public audience with the King), the Diwan-e-Khas (Hall for the King's private meetings with his noblemen), Mubarak Mahal and the Maharani’s  Palace (Queen's Palace). Mubarak Mahal houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum, which displays personal items of the royal family such as exquisite embroidered costumes. The Queen's Palace is one of the largest collections of weapons in the country. And the Diwan-e-Khas has two huge silverware, each 1.6 meters long, which is said to be the world's largest silver object. They were used to bring holy water from the river Ganges to the royal family. The palace also has many rare artifacts.

The one in Jaipur is the largest of all, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II is the founder of Jaipur city and a potential ruler of Amber region. Along with his political expertise, he was also a scholar in physics, mathematics, and astronomy. During his reign, he was commissioned by Emperor Muhammad Shah to rectify astronomical calculations in Islamic zij tables. To accomplish this task, he gathered astronomical data from European and Persian nations and studied and interpreted an equivalent . After extensive research and studying the gathered data, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II constructed stone made instruments to determine the position of planetary bodies and measure time. Jaipur Jantar Mantar was built between 1728-1734 and its stone instruments are considered to be more accurate than others.

Located on Capitol Hill of Eagles, Jaigarh fort was inbuilt 1726 AD by Sawan Jai Singh II. Jaigarh Fort is found at a height of 500 feet above water level and offers panoramic views of the encompassing . It houses the world's largest cannon on the wheels called 'Jaivana Cannon'. There are various other attractions within the fort like Laxmi Vilas, Lalit Mandir, Aram Mandir and therefore the Vilas Mandir. Jaigarh Fort is made-up of sandstones and is cover a neighborhood of three km. Made with the aim of protecting Amer Fort, Jaigarh fort is taken into account because the strongest monument of Jaipur. Laxmi Narayan Temple or Birla Mandir is situated in the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. It is located below the Moti Dungri Fort.

Laxmi Narayan Temple or Birla Mandir is a Hindu temple devoted to goddess Laxmi and god Vishnu. In Jaipur, the temple is a proud landmark. The temple is made up of pure white marble with a modern approach and style. Both the idols of the deities are designed beautifully and look amazing. Inside the temple, other things can be found such as idols of other Hindu deities, ancient quotes, Hindu symbols, ornaments and many more on the walls of the temple.

Mythological events are also carved on some walls. Other than religious and godly images, pictures of philosophers, saints, historical achievers can also be found. The temple is a perfect example of modern day architecture blended with religious interiors. The temple has three domes to represent here religions of India. A lavish garden surrounds the temple.

The best attraction of the temple is the idol of Laxmi Narayan which was carved from a single stone. Another artist’s wonder is the idol of Lord Ganesha. The interiors of the temple are done with beautiful paintings of Hindu deities. The steps of the temple are also made up of marble and the outside of the temple is equally beautiful as the interior of the temple.


A museum is also present inside the temple complex which has the Birla family’s all ancestral belongings.

HISTORY OF THE ATTRACTION

The temple was built in the year 1988 by the famous Birla family, B. M. Birla Foundation. The temple stands on a land which was given by Maharaja to Birla just for a token of one rupee. The temple is not quite old but is definitely a grand place to visit. The temple is a major tourist attraction in the city of Jaipur.

Getting there is an easy task as the city is very well connected with all sort of transport and means of transportation. The temple is easily accessible by roadways, railways and airways as well.

Nahargarh Fort

Nahargarh Fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, overlooking the city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Along with Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh once formed a strong defence ring for the city. The fort was originally named Sudershangarh, but it became known as Nahargarh, which means 'abode of tigers'. The popular belief is that Nahar here stands for Nahar Singh Bhomia,[1] whose spirit haunted the place and obstructed construction of the fort.[2] Nahar's spirit was pacified by building a temple in his memory within the fort, which thus became known by his name.
