Day wise travel itinerary

  • Day 1 :Ahmedabad - Abu - 226 Kms – 4.5 Hrs)
    Proceed and start tour to explore Rajasthan Hill Station Abu. Upon your arrival in Mount Abu. Check in to your hotel and in the evening enjoy boat ride at popular Nakki Lake. The lake is in length of about a half mile and in width about of a quarter of mile and 20 to 30 ft. deep towards the dam on the west. It is an important tourist attraction of Mount Abu. There is the Toad Rock on a hill near the lake. Toad rock is so called as it looks like a toad about to jump into the lake, from the side of the rock facing the lake. The lake takes its name from the legend that it was scooped out by a god.  Overnight stay at Mt. Abu.

  • Day 2 :Abu Sightseeing
    After breakfast in the morning, we will proceed to visit in and around Mount Abu. We will first visit the Adhar Devi Temple that is carved out of a huge rock and can be reached by a flight of 360 stairs. Further, you will visit the famous Dilwara Jain temple of mount Abu built in 20th Century and is a splendid example of indo-colonial style of 30s.  Later, we will visit the sunset that offer a stunning view of the setting sun. The picturesque hills, peaceful surrounding and the pleasant climate altogether make it a favorite spot for everyone who visiting the Mount Abu.  Overnight Stay in Mr. Abu.

  • Day 3 :Mr. Abu - Ambaji - 50 Kms – 1.5 Hr
    After Breakfast check-out and proceed towards the most holy place called – Ambaji. The Original seat of Ambaji Mata is on Gabber hilltop in the town. A large number of devotees visit the temple every year especially on Purnima days. A large mela on Bhadarvi Purnima (full moon day) is held. Every Year from all over the country people come here walking all over from their native place just to worship MAA AMBE in September. The whole Ambaji town is lit up as the nation celebrates the festive time of Diwali. Enjoy Sandhya Aarti Darshan. Overnight stay at Ambaji.

  • Day 4 :Ambaji - Ahmedabad - 193 Kms – 4 Hrs
    Morning have Aarti Darshan and later after Breakfast Check-out and proceed towards the back to home to Ahmedabad with lovely memories.

Dilwara Temple

The Dilwara Jain Temple is one of the most eminent Jain temples worldwide for its exceptional architecture and marvellous marble stone carvings, some experts consider it architecturally superior to the Taj Mahal as well. It looks quite a basic temple from the outside, but every cloud has a silver lining, the interior of the temple at its best reflects an extraordinary work of human craftsmanship. These temples were built between the 11th and 13th century AD, the beautiful green hills surrounding the temple give a very pleasant feeling. The decorative details of the marble stone carvings are unprecedented and unmatched, the fully carved ceilings and pillars are amazing. All this was done at a time when there was no transport or road available at an altitude of 1200+ meters in Mount Abu, huge blocks of marble stones were shifted on elephant backs from the Arasoori Hills of Ambaji in this remote mountainous region of Mount Abu was. Dilwara Temple is also a prominent Jain pilgrimage attraction.

Nakki Lake

Nakki Lake, locally known as Nakki Jheel, located in the Aravalli ranges at Mount Abu, is a paradise for nature lovers. Equipped with amazing natural wonders, this lake is truly a gem of Mount Abu. It is the first man-made lake in India with a depth of about 11,000 meters and a width of one mile. Located in the center of the hill station, the attractive lake is vicinity by strangely shaped rocks & lush green mountains. As you sail through the serene waters of Lake Nakki, it is exciting to see the life of Mount Abu in front of you. It is an ideal place for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.The magnetism is also considered as the love lake of Mount Abu as the vicinity environment with clean blue water gives a romantic feel. The surrounding natural wonders overlooking Nakki Lake add to its charm. Nearby is the famous Toad Rock on a hill that looks like a toad to jump into the lake. There is a path along the banks of Lake Nakki that leads to Sunset Point.The best time to explore it is monsoon and winter. The lush greenery enhances the beauty of the lake in the monsoon. When the best time of the day comes, it is better to visit Nikki Lake in the morning as it gets very crowded in the evening.

Sunset Point

A destination is not complete without a sunset point, and Mount Abu is no exception. For the exotic view of the rugged Aravali ranges, what is sunkissed by the radiating rays of the setting sun draws scores of tourists to this picturesque location near the famous Nakki Lake. The sunset point at Mount Abu is frequented by nature lovers who wander in the rays of the sun's rays. It is an ideal picnic spot as one can admire the magic of the colorful sky as the sun sets, painted in shades of red and orange, in contrast to the rich greenery of the Aravali ranges in the background. This makes the city conducive to enjoying the sunset from Mount Abu Sunset Point peacefully without any pressure and noise. There is a pony ride near Bailey's Walk, which is famous among tourists and children. Tourists also like to get out of here so that they can get an undisturbed and clear view. Some visitors also bring a blanket along with some dupes, making it the most panoramic picnic spot in Mount Abu. A wide range of marble statues, sandalwood figurines and wooden toys can be purchased from temporary stalls set up here.

Toad Rock

Located south of Lake Nakki in Mount Abu, Toad Rock is a huge rock fragment, which resembles a toad to jump into the lake water. Known as the mascot of Mount Abu, it is seen most frequently in the itinerary of all visitors. You can climb the cliff and capture breathtaking views to see the panoramic beauty of the surrounding lakes and lush green hills. The road to Toad Rock begins near Nakki Lake and involves climbing 250 steps to the top. The path is nestled in lush greenery, which makes for a quiet walk, though to some this may seem intimidating. The ladder is broken in parts, so climbing is not recommended for older people and children.

Adhar Devi Temple

Situated in a cave, Adhar Devi Temple is one of the popular religious themed tourist spots in Mount Abu region. It is located three kilometers north of the main city of Mount Abu. The Adhar Devi Temple is reached by climbing 375 steps carved into the mountain. The temple itself is located inside a rocky rock and is reached by crawling through a small opening in the cave. Adhar Devi Temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga. It got its name because legend has it that the "Adhar" of Mataji (the goddess) fell here, it was also believed that the image of the goddess could be found hanging in mid-air. Apart from being a popular tourist destination, Adhar Devi Temple is also a common destination for many religious pilgrimages. The Adhar Devi temple receives the most pilgrims during the 9 days of holy Navratri. The Adhar Devi temple has many beautiful sculptures, and those who attempt to climb the stairs are rewarded with many panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Climbing to the Adhar Devi temple can be a difficult task, so it is recommended that you wear appropriate clothing and shoes. You should not get away from this walk as the panoramic views around the temple and the amazing beauty inside make this climb worth the effort.
