  • Day 1 :Guwahati (Assam)
    Arrive Guwahati airport and transfer to hotel. Rest free at leisure. Overnight in Guwahati.

    Guwahati, ‘The light of the East’ is the commercial capital of North East lying adjacent to the shores of the turbulent Brahmaputra. For guests arriving in the morning, enroute to hotel visit the Maa Kamakhya temple and Sankardev Kalakhetra.

    Situated on top of the Nilachal Hill, Maa Kamakhya Temple is the most sacred among the tantrik shrines of Shakti worship in the world. Kamakhya temple is also famed for the annual Ambubachi Mela held for 4 days  during monsoon season. There are images of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Chamundi and many dance fixtures. Situated on the Nilachal Hill, the temple structure resembles a Shikhara - a beehive.  Besides the main Devi temple, there are temples of 10 Mahavidyas in and around temple. These include  Bhuvaneshvari,  Bagalamukhi,  Chinnamasta,Tripura Sundari,  Tara,  Kali,  Bhairavi,  Dhumavati, Matangi and Kamala Temples. Temple doors remain open for devotees in the following timings - 08:00 am to 01:00 pm & 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
    Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra is the cultural complex, named after the most revered Saint of Assam, Srimanta Sankardev and provides a glimpse into Assamese culture & heritage.  It has a cultural museum, library and various facilities for preserving, demonstrating and performing cultural items, besides a children's park within the sprawling premises. The Central Museum exhibits culture and heritage of different ethnic groups of Assam showcasing their dance, drama, music and art. Another famed attraction in the Kalakshetra is an Artistic Village. This Assamese village portrays the village life of Assam in the form of life like statues and model thatched huts.

    Morning after breakfast, drive to Dirang (4910 ft). Check in Hotel. Evening at Leisure. Overnight at Dirang

  • Day 3 :Dirang - Tawang (155 Kms/6 Hrs)

    Morning after breakfast, drive to Tawang (10,000 ft). En route witness the unique Dirang Valley famous for its monasteries, hot Springs, Apple & kiwi Orchards, sheep breeding farms & charming valleys.  Also witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 13700 ft, the Jaswant Garh War Memorial and Jung Falls.  Overnight in Tawang.

    Jaswant Garh War Memorial : Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place.

    Sela Pass : @13700 ft, the Sela Pass is  is snow-covered (full or partial) all through the year and has breathtaking mystic views. Close to the Pass is the beautiful Sela Lake, a heart-shaped lake chiseled between the mountains, which intensifies the beauty of the region. The Lake is mostly frozen in winter.  The Sela Pass is the main route to access Tawang town and is located 78 km before reaching Tawang.

    Jung Falls : The Nuranang falls  (original name) @6000 feet is located about 40 km before reaching Tawang is famed as one of the most stunning waterfalls in North East India. The falls height is about 100 meters. The legend about the waterfalls goes that it is named after a Monpa girl Nura who aided an Indian soldier during the 1962 Sino-Indian War.

  • Day 4 :Tawang
    Tawang is the beautiful land of the Monpa tribes. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. After breakfast, visit the Tawang Monastery, Urgelling Monastery, Ani Gompa.
    Later visit the War Memorial commemorating the bravery of the Indian heroes of the Indo-China war of 1962. Witness the light & sound show in the evening.  Overnight in Tawang.
    The Tawang Monastery, also known as the “GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” is one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia and is the largest of its kind in India. The Monastery is 400 year old  and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. It stands at 10,000 feet amidst the exotic Himalayan ranges and overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley.  The Urgelling Monastery is located 5 km from Tawang city, and is the birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, born in the 17th century. The monastery was established by the Lama Urgen Sangpo in the 15th century.

  • Day 5 :Tawang

    After breakfast proceed for an excursion to Sangestar Lake, Bum La Pass and China Border (subject to permission from Indian Army)

    The Sangestar Lake, or more popularly known as the Madhuri Lake, is about 20 kms from Tawang, en route to the road leading to Bum La Pass.  The lake is surrounded by the majestic snow-capped mountains and a marvelous valley offering spectacular views.

    The Bum La Pass is one of the four officially agreed BPM (Border Personnel Meeting) point between Indian Army and People's Liberation Army of China for regular consultations and interactions between the two armies, which helps in defusing face-offs.  The other BPM points in India are - Chushul in Ladakh, Nathu La in Sikkim and Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand.

    Overnight in Tawang.

  • Day 6 :Tawang - Bomdila (180 Kms/6 Hrs)
    Morning drive back to Bomdila. At a height of 8OOO ft., Bomdila is a small town famous for its Buddhists monasteries, magnificent valleys and Himalayan landscapes. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Bomdila.

  • Day 7 :Bomdila - Kaziranga (320 Kms/8 Hrs)
    After Breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Check in hotel. Evening free. Overnight at Kaziranga.
    Kaziranga, the World Heritage Site is the oldest park in Assam & is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River.Kaziranga National Park is a natural habitat for conservation of biologically diverse flora & fauna. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses besides sheltering about 15 species of India's threatened mammals. There are numerous other major wildlife fauna.

  • Day 8 :Kaziranga

    Early morning go for Elephant ride @5-30 A.M/6: 30 A.M. (Subject to operation and allotment from forest department) .  Return for Breakfast to hotel. After breakfast proceed for Jeep safari in the Central Range. With Kohora as the entry point, the Central Range covers the Daphlang and Kathpora . Later enjoy Local Village & Tea Garden (Outer View) tour. Overnight at Kaziranga.

  • Day 9 :Kaziranga - Shillong (260 Kms/6 Hrs Drive)

    After breakfast, drive to Shillong. En route witness the Umiam Lake or Barapani - is the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya in midst of sylvan hills adorned by Khasi pines & peerless beauty.

    If time permits visit Cathedral of Marry and Ward’s Lake. Evening free at leisure to explore the region on own. You may take a walk to the famous Police Bazaar for shopping. Overnight in Shillong

  • Day 10 :Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong (60 Kms/2 Hrs-One Way)

    After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on the earth, for an awesome day trip. En route visit the famous Elephant falls. At Sohra, stop at the Duwan Sing Syiem view point for mesmerizing views of the Hills.

    In Cherrapunjee be witness to the gorgeous Seven Sisters (Nohsngithiang) Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. Later take a soft cave walk inside the Mawsmai Cave. The limestone cave is a natural wonder with innumerable formations inside it. Also visit Dainthlen Falls.. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay.

    Note: Most of the waterfalls are dry during winter season.

  • Day 11 :Shillong - Mwallynong - Shillong
    After breakfast drive to Mwallynong, the cleanest village in Asia (100 kms / 3 hrs drive approx), also known as ‘God’s own Garden’. With over 80 households, the village gives the ambiance of walking in a well maintained park !  Climb the 80 ft Sky Walk at Mawlynnong village for a bird’s eye view of the Village, the plantations and faraway plains of Bangladesh. You will also be acquainted to the Khasi lifestyle, their culture and economy.  

    A trek to the nearby Rewai Village is another interesting activity. Walk down a flight of almost 100 steps to witness nature’s wonder, living-root bridge.  The bridges are tangles of massive thick roots, which the local people inter-twine to form a bridge that can hold several people at a time. The root bridges, may be up to over a hundred feet long and take ten to fifteen years to become fully functional, but they become very strong in the process. The bridges live and keep growing and strengthen over time. The useful lifespan of the bridges, is thought to be 500–600 years.

    Later drive to Dawki, a village of the Jaintia community whose prime occupation of fishing. Be mesmerized by the beauty of the Umngot river, the venue of the annual boat race held during March - April at Umsyiem. The Umngot itself is a prime fishing spot for fishermen of the villages. The river is also famous for its crystal clear water, so clear that when seen from a distance, it appears as if the boat is floating in mid-air! The Umngot river is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which is a single span suspension bridge was constructed. This is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. Enjoy an amazing country boat river ride (at additional cost)(at additional cost). Drive up to the Bangladesh border.
    Later proceed to Shillong for overnight stay.

    Today after breakfast drive to Bomdila / Dirang, en route at Tipi visit Orchid Center and enroute visit Sessa Orchid Sanctuary (Blooming time is from end March till May). Check into the hotel. Overnight at Bomdila / Dirang. 


    Closure of roads: Please be informed that the road connecting Dirang from Bhalukpong / Tezpur / Blipara, can get closed due to landslide (near Tippi  Research center) even post Monsoon. In such case the vehicle will have to take a detour via Khalaktang (Rupa) which will involve extra running of 68 km (02 hours extra). This detour will not fetch any extra cost however; the guests will not be able to visit Tipi Orchid Center and Sessa Orchid Sanctuary.

  • Day 15 :Bomdila / Dirang - Tawang

    After breakfast, proceed to Tawang (140km) – the land of Monpa Tribes and major centre of the Mahayana Buddhists. On the way to Tawang lies the world’s second highest pass - Se la Pass(13700ft) which run through a small ridge & along a lake called Se la Lake. And visit Jaswantgarh - a memorial to the brave soldier who single handedly tried to hold of approaching Chinese during the 1962 Chinese aggression. Upon arrive check in to hotel. Over night at Tawang.

  • Day 16 :Tawang- Local Monastery - Tawang

    Tawang (10000 Ft / 3048 Mts)


    After breakfast, today visit Tawang Monastery - The Famous GadenNamgyalLhatse, popularly known as Tawang Monastery was founded by Merak Lama LodreGyatso in the year 1680-81. The monastery stands on the spur of a hill, about 10,000 feet above sea level and has ravines in the south and west, narrow ridge on the north and gradual slope on the east. It offers a commanding and picturesque view of the Tawang-chu valley. From a distance it appears like a fort as if guarding the votaries in the wide valley below. Tawang monastery is the largest of its kind in the country and is one of the largest t monasteries in Asia. Though it has the capacity for housing about seven hundred monks, the actual number of resident lamas (monks) at present is a little more than 450. This monastery is the fountain-head of the spiritual life of the people of this region. Also visit Urgelling Monastery - the birth place of Sixth Dalia Lama. After a late lunch and refreshment visit Tawang War Memorial and evening at leisure. Overnight at Tawang.

  • Day 17 :Tawang – Bumla Pass, Madhuri (Shungatser) Lake & Ptso Lake - Tawang

    Tawang (10000 Ft / 3048 Mts)

    Today morning after early breakfast, you will drive to Bumla Pass which is located about 37 km away from Tawang at the Indo-China border over 15,200 ft above sea level. A further drive will take you to visit high altitude lake called as Shunga-tser Lake, popularly known as Madhuri Lake located 35, kms away from Tawang near the China Border. The drive to Shunga-tser Lake is full of thrill and one can still see the war bankers that had been used during the Chinese aggression in 1962. Nestled amidst the pristine mountains and picturesque surrounding, It was formed in the aftermath of the 1950 earthquake. Prior to the earthquake, this piece of land used to be employed as the grazing ground for the cattle. The evidence of it can be seen in the protruding trunks of the dead trees from the middle of the lake. The lake has been under supervision of Army men, who have also arranged for a cafeteria nearby. Tourists can relish on the delicious Momos, Maggis topped with a cup of tasty coffee or tea. Tourists can also take to trekking around the lake while enjoying the gentle lashes of the pleasant breeze around. During return take a photo stop at the beautiful PTSO lake en route (17 kms away from Tawang, Pangong Tang Tso Lake popularly known as PT Tso which is an extremely scenic drive with bird’s eye view of the township below). Later in the afternoon drive back to hotel. On the way back visit Ani Gompha. Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

    • Our vehicles are not allowed to do PTSo lake, Madhuri lake & Bumla Pass Sightseeing. Local vehicle will be provided for the same. We have no control on this local vehicle which may be a combination of Non AC Tat Sumo/Xylo etc.
    • Bumla la pass is a border between India & China, hence additional formalities are involved,

  • Day 18 :Tawang - Local Sightseeing - Bomdila / Dirang

    After breakfast drive to Bomdila / Dirang - the head quarter of West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has a lot of attractions for the visitors for its cool climate. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Later visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gompa).Bomdila offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow clad ranges. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay at Bomdila / Dirang.

    After breakfast, today you drive to Bhalukpong / Tezpur / Blipara, via Bhomoraguri Dolphin sighting point at Tezpur. The local people who take you on a boat safari ride on the waters of Brahmaputra River and this is the excellent opportunity to sigh the endangered Gangetic River Dolphin (On Additional payment basis). 

    On arrival check in to the hotel. Overnight in Bhalukpong / Tezpur / Blipara.

    1. Boat safari and ticket are all regulated and controlled by the forest Dept. Govt. of Assam. We do not have any control on the booking of ticket & Boat safari.

    2. Boat rides are conducted and controlled by the forest department. We cannot confirm the same in advance. The ticket counter for booking opens one day prior to the ride. Only after securing the tickets, we can confirm the ride for you.

    3. If there is an increase in the cost for jungle activities by the Forest Department / hike in fuel price, then there will be supplement cost applicable on & above the quoted package cost.

    After breakfast, today go a day excursion to Cherrapunjee. Enroute visit Elephant falls. At Cherrapunjee visit Garden of Caves, Arwah Cave / Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. Later drive back to hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.

  • Day 22 :Shillong – Excursion To Mawlynnong– Dawki - Shillong

    Wake up early and have your breakfast and drive to Mawlynnong. Today you can explore the cleanest village Mawlynnong. Also visit Single living Root Bridge. (45 mins gradual walk downwards / 1 hour gradual walk upwards)


    After lunch drive to Dawki. Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. It is a splendid drive of 30 kilometers passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot River, The Umngot River is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which a single span suspension bridge was constructed. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay.

  • Day 23 :Shillong- Guwahati Half Day Sightseeing (Temple)

    After breakfast check out and proceed to Guwahati & depending on the availability of time, sightseeing of Umananda Shiv Temple (Ferry Charge on direct payment) & Navegraha Temple. On time in the evening go for River Cruise (on direct payment & subjected to operational condition). Upon reaching, checkin & over night at Guwahati.

The centre is located at Tipi in West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh, about 65 km away from Tezpur ( Assam) towards Bomdila (the district headquarter of West Kameng). It is situated on the west bank of Kameng river (also known as Jia Bharoli in Assam) surrounded by high hills covered with semi ever green tropical rain forest vegetation. It stretches over an area of 10 hectares of flat land comprising of office buildings, orchidaria, tissue culture lab., Museum, herbarium and garden.
