  • Please note Gulmarg is a walking town. Vehicles of other cities are not allowed here. So only for pick-up & drop during your hotel c/in & c/out the vehicle will come than it will go back to Tanmarg town.
  • When there is snow on the roads , the common car cannot go up to Gulmarg town due to snow so a snow car needs to be hired by guest (at optional cost) to reach to the hotel. This optional cost has to be paid by the guest directly to the driver.
  • Senior citizens or family with kids who finds difficult to explore Gulmarg town by walk can even hire a pony or a local union car to explore Gulmarg town at optional cost.
  • In Gulmarg, the cable car station is situated at the walking distance from almost all the hotels so one can go to cable car station by a walk or else through the pony or union car (cost is optional).

Day wise travel itinerary

  • Day 1 :Arrive Srinagar

    On arrival at Srinagar, meet assistance at the airport On arrival you will be transfer to Deluxe Houseboat.Today Boat ride by (Shikara) to Explore the Dal-Lake, Waterways, Back Waters, Canals, Floating Garden, Vegetable Gardens, Water Lilies, Lotus Flowers, Easily accessible Mobile Venders, Floating, Handicrafts Centre & inherited lifestyle of people living inside the Lake since decades. Evening return back to Deluxe Houseboat and overnight at Houseboat.

  • Day 2 :Srinagar to Gulmarg 56 Kms
    After breakfast go for Gulmarg 
    Gulmarg - on an altitude of 2730 mts above sea level, snow capped mountains are all around. One can even have a view of Nanga Parbat on a clear sunny day. For job seekers, cable car Upto Alpather via Kongdori by Asia’s longest run cable car ride approx 5 kms is really a fun. (Cable car at your own cost). Return to hotel in evening and overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 3 :Gulmarg to Pahalgam (148 kms, 2 ½ hrs)

    Today morning after breakfast one can proceed to towards Pahalgam. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Pahalgam - in the south-east of Srinagar situated at an altitude of 2130 mts. above sea level. It is Kashmir’s most popular resort surrounded by high mountains, dense forests, and high mountain lakes. Evening free to explore the surrounding with is scenic view all around. Return to hotel in evening and overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 4 :Pahalgam

    Today Morning after breakfast visit to Aru valley & Chandanwari by local car of Pahalgam on your own Cost (the base for Amarnath cave). Evening return back to Hotel for Dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 5 :Pahalgam - Srinagar (94 kms, 2.5 hrs)

    After breakfast Process  to Srinagar Check in hotel Then to visit the famous Mughal Gardens, Cheshma Shahi (Royal Spring), Nishat(Garden of Pleasure), Shalimar ( Abode of Love) Mughal laid out in the 16th century & these fall along the bank of Dal-Lake in the heart of Srinagar City & Shankaracharya Temple located on a hillock, thus providing panoramic view of entire City, along with famous Dal-Lake & River Jehlum, enroute visiting handloom centre famous for production of Pashmina/Shahtoos shawls & world over reckoned Carpets. Return to hotel in evening and overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 6 :Srinagar - Sonmarg - Srinagar (174 kms)

    Full day excursion to Sonamarg 51 kms.From Srinagar in the north-east of Srinagar at an altitude of 3000 mts, above sea level. The place offers incredible scenic beauty (while driving to Sonamarg) dense forests, Gigantic Mountains. The place itself is a popular resort for mountaineers, rock climbers, besides an important halt on the way to Kargil (Ladakh) & provides the ideal base for various trekking routes, high mountain lakes, Glaciers & Shri Amarnath Ji Holy cave. Return to hotel in evening and overnight at Hotel.

Srinagar City

Enjoy a Shikara Ride on Dal Lake

The  Shikhara is a traditional gondola type light rowing boat mostly seen on the ancient Dal Lake apart from other lakes. It is one of the most incredible and relaxing aspects of a holiday in Kashmir, and if you want to experience the full beauty of the region, it should be included in your itinerary. Along with the houseboat, it is also considered a cultural symbol. But apart from leisure and tourism purposes,  Shikhara is also used by locals for seaweed harvesting, fishing and transportation. Seeing these boats beautifully adorned on the lake is a treat for the eyes, and you should not miss this experience during your vacation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Shalimar Bagh Mughal Garden

Located on the banks of the ancient Dal Lake, Shalimar Bagh is the largest Mughal garden in the Kashmir Valley and thus it is one of the most famous tourist attractions of Srinagar. This adorable masterpiece, also known as 'house of love', was originally called 'Farah Baksh', which literally means 'delightful'.

Surrounded by tall poplar trees and many colourful flowers, Shalimar Bagh presents tourists with a serene atmosphere. It also boasts of a beautifully designed canal, which passes through the center of the garden, adding to its charm.

The main attraction of Shalimar Bagh is 'Chini Khanas'. In these 'Chini Khanas', oil lamps were lit at night, which produced glare. At the present time, however, these 'Khanas' are adorned with flower pots, which are also delightful.

Hazratbal Shrine Mosque

Known as the holiest sanctum in Kashmir, Hazratbal is the place where a Prophet Mohammad is kept. Hair is also known as 'relic' or Moi-e-Muqaddas. The word Hazrat means sacred/revered and stands for Bal place, thus when the word is put together it means 'holy place' or 'revered place'. In general, tourists find the Hazratbal Shrine as an important place to visit in Srinagar, while Muslim devotees from all over the country visit this sacred shrine once in their lifetime.

The Holy Child of the Prophet is publicly displayed on some occasions such as Prophet Mohammad and his four main companions Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique, Hazrat Umar ibn Khattab, Hazrat Usman ibn Affan and Hazrat Ali. Such occasions include many devotees and tourists from across the country.

1. On Fridays, the mosque is crowded for the Jumma Namaz (friday prayers), thus tourists should avoid going on this day of the week.

Chashma Shahi Garden

Primarily famous for its natural spring, Chashme Shahi Garden is part of the Mughal Garden, and is a must-see in Srinagar. The natural spring in this top attraction in Srinagar attracts the eyes of tourists. It believed to have been discovered by the great female saint Rupa Bhavani of Kashmir, spring got her name from her clan and was originally called 'Chashme Sahib'. Commissioned by Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan for his elder son, Dara Shikoh, Chashme Shahi was built by his governor Ali Mardan in 1632.

Chashme Shahi is a three-terraced garden through which flows the water of the natural spring. On the top terrace of the garden, a double storey hut is built which is believed to be the origin source of the water. The gardens have the Persian/Iranian influence in its architecture and well-manicured offering a visual treat to the visitors.

Tourists visited this attraction in Srinagar to drink the water of this spring, which is believed to have medicinal properties. It is to be noted that, even in the extreme summer season, water is always colder than spring.

The time from April to October is the best time to visit Chashme Shahi. During this time of the year, the weather is suitable for tourism. The garden is at full bloom during May and June.

Nishat Bagh

Nishat Bagh was built by the elder brother of Empress Noor Jahan, Asif Khan and it opened in year 1633 AD. It is a terraced Mughal Garden situated on the eastern side of the Dal Lake in Srinagar. The beautiful gardens are spread over 12 terraces representing the zodiac signs and offer splendid views of the Dal Lake and the mountain range of Pir Panjal. Nishat Bagh covers an area of 46 acres and it is the second largest garden next to the Shalimar Bagh. The layout of the garden is 548m length and 338m width. It is a rectangular layout in Persian style garden architecture from East to West direction housing a few Mughal buildings.

Sonmarg City

Sonamarg or Sonmarg, known as Sonamarag in Kashmiri, is a hill station located in the Ganderbal District of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is located about 62 Kilometers from Ganderbal Town and 80 kilometers northeast of the capital city, Srinagar.

The trek starts from early July month. During this time snow is still present on the higher altitudes and the meadows are in their fresh bloom. The landscape is contrasting. Those keen to witness the snow covered landscape with a foreground of fresh summer bloom, should plan their trek in early July. By end of July the snow melts away, and the meadows are in their full bloom. The landscape has all the floral hues it can get and its a very great time to plan the trek. The temperatures are warmer than in July, making the nights more comfortable during camping. By late August the temperature starts to drop again, the flowers begin to wither as the cold begins to sweep the alpine meadows. Abrupt rainfall can be more than expected during this time period. The trek can continue well into the second week of September, before the snow starts to take over the higher reaches again and winter comes knocking at the doors.
