Day wise travel itinerary

  • Day 1 :Chandigarh - Kufri (127 Kms, 4 Hrs 30 Min )
    Arrive at Chandigarh Airport, meet the assistance and drive to Shimla - the land of pine scented hills, beautiful Shali peaks, crisp winter skies, fragrant cedar forests, romantic mists and golden hillsides. On arrival check into the hotel. Dinner at hotel and Overnight stay at Shimla.

  • Day 2 :Kufri
    Today morning after breakfast drive to Kufri valley - located 16 kms from Shimla, it commands a panoramic view of the majestic Himalayas. Later visit Naldehra - 23kms - under a skyline etched with conifers, Naldehra offers a well-groomed nine hole golf course. 
    Evening take a visit to amall road to visit Jakhu Temple, dedicated to Hanuman, from where you enjoy an excellent view of Shimla. Next visit the Viceregal Lodge - formerly the residence of the British Viceroy of India – that houses ancient articles and photographs dating back to the times of the Britishrule in India which once served as the seat of power, the Ridge and the Christ church. 
    Evening return to the hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Shimla.

    Today Morning after breakfast check out and drive to Manali. Enroute visit Kullu village and the shawl factory. Later drive to Manali. On arrival check into the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Manali.

    It is a heaven for all the art lovers. This place will please anyone who loves art and paintings. This castle is also a heritage hotel and a great place for someone who loves art and artistic pieces.

    Hadimba Devi Temple
    It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in the Indian epic Mahābhārata.  Tibetan Monastery :Manali Gompa is a great place to learn about the Buddhist culture. Famous for its wall paintings, architecture and Chortens, this place is a must-visit if you are looking for some religious and spiritual atmosphere. The landscape around this Gompa is also stunning. It is also famous for its pagoda-style architecture.

    VashishtTemple for hot sulphur springs
    Just outside Manali, across the river Beas, known for its hot sulphur springs whose water is said to have curative properties.  Enjoy the Mall road of Manali. Return to the hotel. Dinner &Overnight stay at Manali

  • Day 5 :Manali - Rohtang - Manali (51 Kms, 4 Hrs Drive One Way)
    Today early Morning around 5.30 am proceed for an excursion to Rohtang Pass (by Union Vehicle at extra cost). Rohtang Passis a high mountain pass on the eastern PirPanjal Range of the Himalayas located 51 kms from Manali, 3978 meters high,It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal Pradesh and further to Ladakh.Spend some time at Rohtang, do photography, enjoy playing in snow, and having tasteful Maggi and hot tea. Return to your hotel in the evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Manali.

      1. During Sept , Oct there will be no snow at Rohtang pass & so one cannot enjoy any snow activities here during these months .

      Today Morning after breakfast, leisure time to enjoy the resort activities. Later afternoon visit Solang valley to enjoy some adventure sports ike Paragliding, Zorbing (activities at own cost) (operational of this activity depends on the weather conditions.)Or drive toKullu for Rafting (rafting cost is optional )Beas River is the major spot for river rafting in Manali. Various private companies offer this adventure to tourists with great security and equipments. Rafters also get to witness amazing views of the landscape while enjoying rafting.       The Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a sculpture garden in Chandigarh, India. It is also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden after its founder Nek Chand Saini, a government official who started the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. Today it is spread over an area of 40 acres

    Kufri is a tiny hill station located near Shimla. They can hike through thick forest around Kufri to the Mahasu Peak. The other places to visit in Kufri are the Himalayan Nature Park, which has a collection of animals and birds found only in Himachal Pradesh, and the Indira Tourist Park, which is near the Himalayan Nature Park and provides panoramic view of the locations around Kufri. In winters, the snow-covered slopes of Kufri come alive with skiers and other visitors.It is famous for its trekking and hiking trails. Adventure-seeking travelers throng Kufri in winters to enjoy skiing and tobogganing along its snow-covered slopes. Kufri is also famous for its nature parks and picnic spots.The best time to visit Kufri is in summers, between April and June. However, one may also the place between December and February to enjoy snowfall and skiing.

    Visit golf course in Naldehra

    Nestled at a distance of 23 Km from Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, the Golf Course in Naldehra is the oldest golf club in India. The golf course stretches over an extensive area surrounded by trees at an altitude of 2,200 metres. It is a par 68, 18-hole course with 16 greens and 18 tees. In the year 1905, Lord Curzon was captivated by the beauty of the region and so he made his favourite camping site just outside the British summer capital of Shimla. What he made in 19's is now considered as one of the most scenic golf course in the country. Also, it is believed that in the memory of his stay he named this place as Alexandra Naldehra, which was the name of her theird daughter. Naldehra Gold Course remains open from April to November as the weather is quite pleasant.Entry is free of golf course but golf packages are there.

    Jakhoo Hill and Temple

    Located above Jakhoo hill, the temple is a holy place for the Hindu communal of India. It is dedicated to the Hindu God, Hanuman. This hill is situated 2.5 km from the Ridge at the height of 2,455 m above sea level and is Shimla’s highest peak. From the hill, visitors can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Shivalik Ranges and the sister town of Sanjauli. The 108 feet tall idol of Lord Hanuman which is located at the top of the hill and is a big attraction for tourists.   The premises hold several paintings that represent the story of Hanuman during Ramayana. Installed in 2010, the 108 feet long idol of Hanuman is an attraction in itself and has enticed a huge number of tourists throughout the years. Illuminated with lights in the night, it is a grand sight to watch on your Shimla tour and is visible from anywhere in Shimla. Legend and myth suggests that the monkey Lord Hanuman rested here while on his search for the Sanjivini Booti (a kind of herb). He met sage Yaaku on the hilltop and then moved ahead in his journey. It is also believed that the sage built this temple. Devotees from all over the country come here, especially at the time of Dussehra festival celebrations. World’s tallest statue of Lord Hanuman was unveiled to the public by Abhishek Bachchan on November 5th, 2010  

    Note: Beware of the monkeys here as they are known to snatch away any free hanging objects from people.

    Viceregal Lodge

    This breathtaking building was built in 1888 as the residence of the British Viceroy Lord Dufferin. This observatory is situated on the hills and surrounded by well-maintained gardens and lawns, surrounded by beautiful cedar trees and rose plants. The Viceregal Lodge, also known as the "Rashtrapati Niwas", is now restyled into the Indian Institute of Advanced Study and students come here for higher studies. The building has an English Renaissance style of architecture, where the colour of the limestone is grey. Since it is situated at a good height, the views of this place are thrilling and cannot be described in words.

    Mall road means “married officers accommodation and living lines” road. Before the partition of Pakistan and India; British constructed accommodations for officers and other ranks opposite to each other separated by a road between them. Hence MALL road were constructed in different cities in the then subcontinent.Mall Road is one of the most popular attractions for tourists & visitors & for locals also in Shimla which encompasses many clubs, bars, banks, hotels, shops, offices, post offices, restaurants, and tourism offices. People can gradually walk up to the Mall Road and enjoy the beautiful views of nature while sipping their favourite coffee.A lot of people & family & groups meet and hang out at the ridge and scandal point on Mall Road, see the Himalayan range and do some shopping. The Mall Road is connected to Road Ridge by Scandal Point. The statue of nationalist leader Lala Lajpat Rai has been installed.

    Note : It is a no vehicle zone as no other vehicles except emergency vehicles are allowed on this road which serves as an icing on the cake.
